What We Do
Providing pet care services – in our home or yours – in Louisville, Kentucky
We provide a safe, home environment for your pets that includes supervised dog daycare, overnight care, and boarding for dogs and cats. Located in the Hawthorne/Upper Highlands neighborhood in Louisville, the home includes an entirely fenced in yard and separate indoor Doggy Den, as well as plenty of sunshine, shade trees, and nature for your pet’s to watch from a safe distance. We want your pets to feel like they are at their second home while in our care. That means small numbers, supervised group play, safe toys, and a comfortable environment of couches, chairs, and loungers where your pets can snuggle up for a nap.
Choose How You Want Us to Care for Your Pet!
Of course, we recognize that sometimes, there is just no place like home and not every pet is comfortable or wants to be away from home or around other animals. For those situations, we offer drop-in pet sitting in your home based on availability. These visits would usually only be available in the early morning, evening, or weekends.
Doggy Daycare
Our doggy daycare operates Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Because we keep numbers small, all daycare dogs are in one play group while inside and outside. The dogs essentially have a full day of play, enrichment games, and naps. You dog won’t spend the day being locked in a kennel waiting for play time and will get plenty of one-on-one play and cuddle time without extra add-on charges. We want all the dogs at our daycare to get the same level of love and attention that you provide them at home.
In order to keep your dog and other dogs safe, we do have standard daycare requirements such as vaccinations (see below), a liability waiver, emergency contact information, and an assessment before your dog can attend daycare. The assessment is a free 30-minute visit at our location where one of the pet parents must be present. We want to make sure our daycare is the right fit for your dog!
Required Vaccines:
- Rabies
- DHLPP (Required annually)
- Bordetella (Required annually for daycare, but recommended every 6 months)
- Canine Influenza (Required annually for daycare)
*Dogs should also be spayed/neutered and on a prevention medicine for heartworm, fleas, and ticks.
Required: Pet Services Agreement and Waiver
Required: Schedule Free Assessment
- $25/Day or $100/Week (M-F)
- $22/Day or $90/Week for a sibling dog (same household)
Dog Boarding
We will gladly board dogs in our home while you are away. If boarding during the week, the dogs will also attend doggy daycare for no extra cost, unless requested by the pet parent to stay separate. The dogs will be able to enjoy the backyard, Doggy Den (daycare building), and most of the house (the cats’ room is off-limit to dogs). They can cuddle on the couch and sleep in the beds if that is what they are used to doing, or their own bed in the bedroom or living room. We won’t keep your dog in a crate overnight unless that is their normal routine and what you prefer. During the days, the dogs will enjoy a full day of play, enrichment games, and naps. You dog won’t spend the day being locked in a kennel waiting for play time and will get plenty of one-on-one play and cuddle time without extra add-on charges. We want all the dogs in our home to get the same level of love and attention that you provide them at your home.

Cat Boarding
We love cats in this house and would love to board your kitties while you are away. During weekdays, our cats have full reign of the house while the dogs in the separate daycare. There will be plenty of opportunities to watch squirrels, hunt birds (through the windows), and take as many cat naps as wanted. In the evenings, when the dog that lives here is in the house, as well as any other dogs that be staying, cats will have their own room and safe space with no dogs allowed! It’s a room set up just for cats with a lot of comfy furniture, toys, and cat condo, and where we will spend one-on-one time with your cat (if they want attention – we know how cats operate). If your cat is comfortable around dogs, they are free to come and go from the cat room in the evening while being carefully supervised.
We only take a very small number of cat boarders each night. Cat boarding requires standard vaccinations (see below), a liability waiver and emergency contact information.

Pet Sitting
If daycare or boarding isn’t for your pet, that’s okay! We may still be able to provide services to you. We will do drop-in visits at your home for your pets to make sure they have food, water, and plenty of attention and love. We have more availability on the weekends due to the doggy daycare operation, however, we can drop-in during the early morning hours or evening during the week. I grew up on a farm and have experience taking care of a variety of animals, so I will be happy to provide care for not only your cats and dogs, but also birds, iguanas, horses, chickens, and other pets depending on the level of care and experience needed for the animal. No snakes – Sorry!

- $20/Visit (30 minutes)

Overnight Care
What’s the difference between boarding and overnights? For an overnight stay, you pet is mostly just here to sleep in a safe environment so your pet isn’t alone and you don’t have to worry about their barks or meowing keeping your neighbors up all night or cleaning up those accidents!
This could be ideal for someone who has to work the night shift, double shifts, or long hours. You would drop your pet off sometime after 7 p.m. (and preferably after they have eaten dinner) and pick them up the next morning by 9 a.m. Your cat or dog will have an opportunity to play in the evening before bedtime (depending on what time they arrive). We can also feed them their breakfast (or dinner) depending on what time they normally eat.
Like boarding dogs, your pup can sleep where you prefer or they are most comfortable – in their bed on the floor, in our bed, on the couch, or in a crate. Unlike boarding stays, overnights do not include doggy daycare on the weekdays, but will still receive the same level of love and care as all of the pets in our home while they are here.
If you happen to have a different schedule than our normal overnight hours, please reach out and we’ll be willing to work with your on drop-off/pick-up times.
In order to keep your pets and other pets safe, we do have standard overnight care requirements such as vaccinations (see below), a liability waiver, and emergency contact information. Dogs will also require a free 30 minute assessment to make sure our home is the right overnight fit for your pup.
